ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,579,042, issued on March 17, was assigned to Rambus Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).
"High performance persistent memory" was invented by Frederick A. Ware (Los Altos Hills, Calif.), J. James Tringali (Los Altos, Calif.) and Ely Tsern (Los Altos, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The embodiments described herein describe technologies for non-volatile memory persistence in a multi-tiered memory system including two or more memory technologies for volatile memory and non-volatile memory."
