ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,589,155, issued on March 31, was assigned to Purdue Research Foundation.

"Efficient synthesis of lipid-fluorescein conjugates for CAR-T cell therapy" was invented by Philip Stewart Low (West Lafayette, Ind.) and Madduri Srinivasarao (West Lafayette, Ind.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Lipid-fluorescein conjugates, the compositions comprising same, and the methods of synthesis and use, such as in the treatment of cancer, are disclosed."
