ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,666,572, issued on June 23, was assigned to PSIQUANTUM CORP. (Palo Alto, Calif.).
"Cryogenic data center rack" was invented by Hong Hu (Bothell, Wash.), Gabriel Catalano (San Mateo, Calif.) and Ilya Vorobeichik (Los Gatos, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cryogenic rack system can contain a vacuum chamber that includes cryogenic cabinets and a distribution section. The cabinets can include cryogenic-temperature blades supporting electronic and photonic chips that operate at cryogenic temperatures, and room temperature blades supporting electronic and photonic chips that operate at a non-cryogenic temperature."
