ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,311, issued on April 7, was assigned to Pouda Biotech LLC (Radnor, Pa.).
"Lactobacillus plantarum PDG8 and use in treating cardiovascular diseases" was invented by Jun Zhang (Xian, China) and Xin Xie (Xian, China).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are a Lactobacillus plantarum strain, Lactobacillus plantarum PDG8, and a composition thereof. Also provided are methods using Lactobacillus plantarum PDG8 or a composition thereof for treating a cardiovascular disease such as atherosclerosis."
The patent was filed on May 24, 2023, under Application No. 18/323,235.
