US Patent Issued to PIRELLI TYRE on Sept. 1 for "Motorcycle tyre" (Italian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 1 -- United States Patent no. 12,722,426, issued on Sept. 1, was assigned to PIRELLI TYRE S.p.A. (Milan).

"Motorcycle tyre" was invented by Mario Mariani (Milan), Giuliano Bonaccorsi (Milan) and Alessio Casali (Milan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tyre for vehicle wheels comprises a tread band including a plurality of blocks and grooves that define in the tread band a void/solid ratio comprised between 0.4 and 0.65 and that form a tread pattern which is symmetrical with respect to an equatorial plane (X-X) of the tyre.
