ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,602,979, issued on April 14, was assigned to PIONEER Corp. (Tokyo).

"Information processing device" was invented by Seiji Yamanushi (Tokyo), Kazuki Doi (Tokyo) and Manabu Suzuki (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Unnecessary notification is reduced. Occurrence of an impact in an information processing device is detected, a cause of the impact is determined, and when it is determined that the cause of the impact is a drop of the information processing device, notification regarding the impact is not performed."

The patent was filed on Jan. 31, 2022, under Application No. 18/690,096.
