US Patent Issued to PHARMA CINQ on June 9 for "Imidazoquinoline compound having anti-inflammatory, antifugal, antiparasitic, and anticancer activity" (Maryland Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,649,739, issued on June 9, was assigned to PHARMA CINQ LLC (Rockville, Md.).

"Imidazoquinoline compound having anti-inflammatory, antifugal, antiparasitic, and anticancer activity" was invented by David Michael Simpson (North Bethesda, Md.), Reid Warren Von Borstel (Potomac, Md.) and Rolando Alejandro Garcia Garcia (Germantown, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An imidazoquinoline compound having activity against inflammation, fungi, unicellular parasitic microorganisms, and cancer is described."
