ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,746,415, issued on Sept. 29, was assigned to PERFECTVISION Manufacturing Inc. (Little Rock, Ark.).

"Climb safety device including a biasing element compressible by a load bearing member" was invented by Scott Stekr (Littleton, Colo.), Brenton Barton (Golden, Colo.) and Dominic Newnham (Centennial, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A climb safety device where movement of a load bearing member relative to an attachment member is resisted by a biasing element."

The patent was filed on Dec. 31, 2022, under Application No. 18/092,236.
