US Patent Issued to Particles Plus on July 14 for "Thermostat with integrated particle sensor" (California, Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,681,512, issued on July 14, was assigned to Particles Plus Inc. (Stoughton, Mass.).

"Thermostat with integrated particle sensor" was invented by David Pariseau (Los Altos, Calif.) and Adam Giandomenico (Canton, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A residential or commercial thermostat incorporating an airborne particle sensor. A standard thermostat device incorporating at least one temperature sensor and at least activation of heating and/or cooling with the addition of an on-board particle sensor. The particulate information could simply be displayed, or could be part of controlling filtration or air-handling equipment."
