"Underseat air compressor system" was invented by John Willenborg (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) and Chris Lewis (Surprise, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An under-seat compressor system has been developed to provide a convenient way to adjust tire pressure in a vehicle. The system includes a mounting bracket that mounts to a crossmember under the seat in the vehicle.
