ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,746,140, issued on Sept. 29, was assigned to OSSUR ICELAND EHF (Reykjavik, Iceland).

"Connector for an orthopedic device" was invented by Valgeir Petursson (Reykjavik, Iceland) and Halldor Albertsson (Reykjavik, Iceland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A connector for a strap includes a buckle assembly having a base part, and a strap mount flexibly depending from the buckle assembly.
