ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,565,905, issued on March 3, was assigned to Orthosoft ULC (Montreal).
"Quick connect for robotic surgical instruments" was invented by Marc-Andre Lemieux (Montreal) and Brian Edward Roach (Osceola, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A coupler can connect one or more instruments to a robotic surgical arm. The coupler can include a base and an actuator.
