US Patent Issued to Optical Systems on June 30 for "Drift tube with true hermetic seal" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,671,067, issued on June 30, was assigned to Optical Systems LLC (Auburn, Calif.).

"Drift tube with true hermetic seal" was invented by Arash Ghorbani (Auburn, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A drift tube construction includes a thin wall aluminum tube with a thin wire at its center attached to a terminal. The tube is plugged at both ends. The terminal is embedded at the center of the plug with material insulating it from Drift tube main body.
