ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,630,605, issued on May 19, was assigned to Ohio State Innovation Foundation (Columbus, Ohio).

"Tissue factor-targeting CAR-NK and CAR-T cell therapy" was invented by Zhiwei Hu (Dublin, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are methods and compositions related to chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that recognize Tissue Factor (TF). Specifically, disclosed are CARs that comprise fVII or a functional fragment thereof. Also disclosed are immune effector cells comprising the CARs disclosed herein."

The patent was filed on Sept. 17, 2018, under Application No. 16/651,512.
