ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,591,100, issued on March 31, was assigned to NTT Inc. (Tokyo).
"Optical cable laying method" was invented by Akira Sakurai (Musashino, Japan), Hiroaki Tanioka (Musashino, Japan), Shigekatsu Tetsutani (Musashino, Japan), Yusuke Yamada (Musashino, Japan) and Masashi Kikuchi (Musashino, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In order to achieve the foregoing object, the optical cable laying method of the present disclosure lays an optical cable on a road surface or a wall surface so that the optical cable passes through two points along a route therebetween longer than a minimum distance therebetween."
