US Patent Issued to NOVAMONT on June 23 for "Biodegradable film" (Italian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,875, issued on June 23, was assigned to NOVAMONT S.P.A. (Novara, Italy).

"Biodegradable film" was invented by Roberto Ponti (Marano Ticino, Italy) and Claudio Russo (Novara, Italy).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This invention relates to a biodegradable film which is particularly suitable for the manufacture of packaging and is also characterised by high level mechanical properties."

The patent was filed on Feb. 4, 2022, under Application No. 17/665,039.
