ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,662,391, issued on June 23, was assigned to Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill.).

"Methods of growing large crystals of all-inorganic and hybrid organic-inorganic cesium lead bromide perovskites from solution" was invented by Mercouri G. Kanatzidis (Wilmette, Ill.), Yucheng Liu (Evanston, Ill.) and Lei Pan (Evanston, Ill.).
