ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,560,610, issued on Feb. 24, was assigned to Nordic Bioscience A/S (Herlev, Denmark).
"Sparc assay" was invented by Stephanie Nina Kehlet (Frederiksberg, Denmark), Diana Oersnes-Leeming (Klampenborg, Denmark) and Morten Karsdal (Kobenhavn O, Denmark).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to an assay for detecting secreted proteome acidic and rich in cysteine (SPARC), and more specifically to its use in evaluating lung cancer."
The patent was filed on Sept. 8, 2022, under Application No. 17/930,548.
