ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,254, issued on April 7, was assigned to Neuronasal Inc. (Wexford, Pa.).

"Intranasal administration of n-acetylcysteine and uses thereof" was invented by Douglas A. Greene (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and Thomas I. Bradshaw (Wynnewood, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure describes methods comprising administering N-acetylcysteine (NAC) or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt or congener thereof. The disclosed methods can be used to treat a brain disorder."

The patent was filed on Feb. 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/855,563.
