ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,553,275, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to NCR Atleos Corp. (Atlanta).
"Recyclable safe" was invented by Bruce Dunn (Dundee, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "One embodiment is a safe including an outer wall formed of a metal, an inner wall formed of the metal, and a coarse aggregate and fill material filling a gap between the outer and inner walls. The fill material, such as a metal or thermoplastic with a melting point lower than the metal of the inner and outer walls."
The patent was filed on July 29, 2022, under Application No. 17/877,031.
