ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,551,518, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to NANJING UNIVERSITY (Nanjing, China).
"Probiotic system and use thereof" was invented by Lei Dong (Nanjing, China) and Congwei Han (Nanjing, China).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides a system which enables exogenous probiotics to form a stable microenvironment in a host, can be applied by simple means such as oral administration, can achieve the effect of changing the composition of intestinal microbiota, and eventually plays a positive role in the treatment of malignant tumors."
The patent was filed on Dec. 11, 2020, under Application No. 18/040,079.
