US Patent Issued to Myriad Genetics on July 14 for "Cancer biomarkers" (Utah Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,680,139, issued on July 14, was assigned to Myriad Genetics Inc. (Salt Lake City).

"Cancer biomarkers" was invented by Steven Stone (Salt Lake City), Alexander Gutin (Salt Lake City), Susanne Wagner (Salt Lake City) and Julia Reid (Salt Lake City).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Biomarkers and methods using the biomarkers for the prediction of the recurrence risk of cancer in a patient are provided."
