US Patent Issued to MURATA MANUFACTURING on March 24 for "Acoustic wave device" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,587,164, issued on March 24, was assigned to MURATA MANUFACTURING Co. LTD. (Kyoto, Japan).

"Acoustic wave device" was invented by Tetsuya Kimura (Nagaokakyo, Japan) and Kentaro Nakamura (Nagaokakyo, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An acoustic wave device includes a scandium-containing aluminum nitride film and electrodes on at least one of first and second principal surfaces of the scandium-containing aluminum nitride film. The scandium-containing aluminum nitride film includes areas in which a crystal axis is deviated with respect to remaining portions of the scandium-containing aluminum nitride film."
