ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,654,041, issued on June 16, was assigned to Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. (Brookfield, Wis.).

"Respirator" was invented by Aaron M. Williams (Milwaukee), Jason D. Thurner (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) and Grant T. Squiers (Cudahy, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tool, such as a respirator, including a body, an opening defined by the body, a door coupled to the body, and a filter positioned between the body and the filter. The door actuates between open and closed positions. The filter can be removed and replaced when the door is in the open position."

The patent was filed on Nov. 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/503,655.
