US Patent Issued to Microsoft Technology Licensing on April 7 for "Resource provisioning" (Georgia, Washington, California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,596,577, issued on April 7, was assigned to Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC (Redmond, Wash.).

"Resource provisioning" was invented by Rathijit Sen (Redmond, Wash.), Matteo Interlandi (Torrance, Calif.) and Jiashen Cao (Roswell, Ga.).

The system predicts a performance impact on a workload attributable to a performance constraint of the processing unit for the workload according to a resource model, wherein the workload includes a query and the resource model characterizes attainable compute bandwidth, attainable memory bandwidth, and arithmetic intensity...
