ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,730,509, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Meta Platforms Technologies LLC (Menlo Park, Calif.).
"Sensing activation maps from eye data" was invented by Andrew Samuel Berkovich (Sammamish, Wash.) and Reid Frederick Pinkham (Bellevue, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Eye gaze data is generated by an eye-tracking module. One or more activation maps are generated by a sensing module based on the eye gaze data. The sensing module acquires sensor data based on the one or more activation maps."
The patent was filed on Sept. 17, 2024, under Application No. 18/887,042.
