ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,673,159, issued on July 7, was assigned to Medtronic MiniMed Inc. (Northridge, Canada).
"Mealtime delivery of correction boluses" was invented by Anirban Roy (Agoura Hills, Calif.), Benyamin Grosman (Winnetka, Calif.) and Neha J. Parikh (West Hills, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are techniques related to delivery of correction boluses. In some embodiments, the techniques involve obtaining data indicative of an ongoing glycemic response to a meal; and causing delivery of one or more correction boluses to at least partially counteract the ongoing glycemic response to the meal."
