US Patent Issued to MediaTek Singapore on June 23 for "Power control of sidelink in unlicensed spectrum in mobile communications" (Chinese, Taiwanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,666,367, issued on June 23, was assigned to MediaTek Singapore Pte. Ltd. (Singapore).

"Power control of sidelink in unlicensed spectrum in mobile communications" was invented by Jun-Qiang Cheng (Beijing), Tao Chen (Beijing) and Jing-Wei Chen (Hsinchu City, Taiwan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Examples pertaining to power control of sidelink (SL) on unlicensed spectrum (SL-U) in mobile communications are described. A user equipment (UE) communicates in a SL-U. The UE performs a transmit power control (TPC) such that a power spectral density (PSD) limit is not exceeded in communicating in the SL-U."
