US Patent Issued to MediaTek on Feb. 17 for "Graphics system" (Taiwanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,555,178, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to MediaTek Inc. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

"Graphics system" was invented by Yu-Hua Wu (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Yong-Guan Liao (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Kuan-Yu Chen (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A graphics system is provided. The graphics system includes a frame buffer, a timing controller, and a processing unit. The processing unit generating an output video frame based on a raw video frame. The output video frame includes the main window and a picture-in-picture window overlaid on the main window, and the picture-in-picture window is generated by zooming in a target region of the main window. ...
