According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus for weighing an electrode is provided. The apparatus may include a platform, an electrode holder, and one or more load cells. The electrode holder may include a frame having an axial passage shaped to receive the electrode. The load cells may be positioned between the electrode holder and the platform. When the electrode is received within the axial passage, the load cells may measure a weight of the electrode."
