"Inflatable mattress" was invented by Evelyn Choi (Salt Lake City) and Christopher Lee (Salt Lake City).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An inflatable mattress comprises a top panel, a bottom panel, and a plurality of side panels. The mattress has a hollow cavity configured to be inflated. The mattress includes a top support device associated with only three sides of the inflatable mattress. The mattress includes a pillow support having a first edge and a second edge. The first edge is coupled to the top panel and the second edge is associated with the bottom panel."
