ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,751,968, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Ireland Ltd. (Dublin).
"Pulmonary arterial compliance with inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) treatment" was invented by Parag Shah (Morristown, N.J.) and Peter Fernandes (Randolph, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described are methods for reducing pulmonary resistance, reducing pulmonary pressure, and increasing pulmonary arterial compliance by providing a inhaled nitric oxide."
The patent was filed on Jan. 27, 2021, under Application No. 17/796,451.
