ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,645,268, issued on June 2, was assigned to Maingear Inc. (Warren, N.J.).

"Graphical processing unit bracket" was invented by Wallace Santos (Warren, N.J.) and Matthew Rigassio (Warren, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bracket for a GPU is used to hold the GPU in place while electrically connected to a motherboard. The bracket has horizontal and vertical sections with indents and crevices adapted to fit a GPU there-against."

The patent was filed on May 22, 2024, under Application No. 18/670,813.
