ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,679,863, issued on July 14, was assigned to Life Technologies Corp. (Carlsbad, Calif.).
"Peptide purification formulations and methods" was invented by Sergei Snovida (Rockford, Ill.), Ryan Bomgarden (Winnebago, Ill.) and Amarjeet Flora (Woodstock, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Improved formulations for purification of peptide from biological samples and methods and kits for purifying peptides from biological samples (e.g., cells and tissues), as well as use of purified peptides (e.g., polypeptides derived from protein digests) in mass spectrometry (e.g., LC-MS) applications are described."
