ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,559,607, issued on Feb. 24, was assigned to LG Energy Solution Ltd. (Seoul, South Korea) and Konkuk University Industrial Cooperation Corp (Seoul, South Korea).

"Flame-retardant composite pad, method for manufacturing same, and secondary battery module and secondary battery pack comprising such composite pad" was invented by Yeo-Min Yoon (Daejeon, South Korea), Bum-Young Jung (Daejeon, South Korea), Jeong-Ho Ha (Daejeon, South Korea), Ki-Jae Kim (Seoul, South Korea), Yong-Keon Ahn (Seoul, South Korea) and Kyu-Bin Lee (Seoul, South Korea).
