ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,660,439, issued on June 16, was assigned to LG Display Co. Ltd. (Seoul, South Korea).
"Display device" was invented by Hoiyong Kwon (Seoul, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the hole is disposed in the inorganic insulating layer in the region overlapping the outer peripheral line of the flexible film or the region adjacent to the outer peripheral line of the flexible film, which makes it possible to suppress the propagation of cracks caused by an air gap in the pad area and improve the reliability of the display device."
