ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,606,302, issued on April 21, was assigned to LeVanta Tech Inc. (Springfield, Mo.).
"Wing-in-ground effect vehicles and uses thereof" was invented by Kelly A. Echols (Monett, Mo.) and Randall Petersen (Salt Lake City).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Wing-in-ground effect (WIG) vehicles are disclosed herein. Hovercraft takeoff and landing modes are disclosed herein. Uses of WIG vehicles, including for maritime monitoring, are disclosed herein."
The patent was filed on Oct. 11, 2024, under Application No. 18/913,727.
