"Composition containing a yeast for preventing simple and/or recurring cystitis" was invented by Amelie Decherf (Bondues, France) and Nathalie Ballet (Marcq-en-Baroeul, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition containing at least one yeast for the prevention of simple and/or recurring cystitis such as cystitis caused by uropathogenic Escherichia coli bacteria. The yeast may be in the form of a live yeast, a dead yeast, yeast cell walls, purified fractions of yeast cell walls or mixtures thereof."
