ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,756,150, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to KYOCERA SLD Laser Inc. (Goleta, Calif.).
"Ensemble light source" was invented by James Harrison (Tucson, Ariz.), Cole J. Cunnien (Goleta, Calif.), James Highgate (Goleta, Calif.) and Colin Greenidge (Goleta, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An ensemble light source includes multiple individual light sources arranged in an array pattern. The individual light sources may be controlled to provide different divergence profiles and/or optics may be used to provide different divergence profiles."
