ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,550,917, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to Kraft Foods Group Brands LLC (Chicago).

"Quillaja-stabilized liquid beverage concentrates" was invented by Daniel T. Piorkowski (Fairfield, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are stabilized emulsion-including concentrates for drinkable beverages. The emulsion concentrates are stable at pH as low as about 2.0 to about 2.5 and include quillaja, non-aqueous solvent, acidulant, lipid, and water.
