ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,600,775, issued on April 14, was assigned to Kite Pharma Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.).
"Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy" was invented by Adrian Bot (Beverly Hills, Calif.) and John Rossi (Newbury Park, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are methods for preparing, producing, processing, culturing, isolating, or making cells suitable for immune or cell therapy, and for their use in cell therapy."
The patent was filed on Nov. 6, 2020, under Application No. 17/091,039.
