ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,644,289, issued on June 2, was assigned to Key-Link Fencing & Railing Inc. (New Holland, Pa.).
"Horizontal cable railing and method of installation" was invented by Earl M. Wenger (Leola, Pa.), Elmer Weaver (Denver, Pa.) and Daniel Fisher (New Holland, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of assembling and installing a horizontal cable infill deck railing system is disclosed in which cables are strung between posts and balusters as required and the cables are tightened by the user of a novel cable attachment system."
The patent was filed on Nov. 14, 2023, under Application No. 18/508,424.
