ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,676,973, issued on July 7, was assigned to KDDI Corp. (Tokyo).

"Image decoding device, image decoding method, and program" was invented by Haruhisa Kato (Fujimino, Japan) and Yoshitaka Kidani (Fujimino, Japan).
