ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,678,259, issued on July 14, was assigned to Katalyst Surgical LLC (Chesterfield, Mo.).

"Surgical illumination system" was invented by Steven Scheller (Chesterfield, Mo.), Eric J. Bass (St. Louis), Anthony Kiel (Troy, Mo.), Gregg D. Scheller (Wildwood, Mo.) and Carl C. Awh (Nashville, Tenn.).
