US Patent Issued to Joslin Diabetes Center on Feb. 24 for "Targeting micro-RNAs for exosomal delivery or cellular retention" (Virginia, Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,559,746, issued on Feb. 24, was assigned to Joslin Diabetes Center (Boston).

"Targeting micro-RNAs for exosomal delivery or cellular retention" was invented by C. Ronald Kahn (Falls Church, Va.) and Ruben Garcia Martin (Boston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are exosomal sorting motifs and cellular retention motifs for microRNAs. Methods of use for directing miRNA to exosomes or retaining miRNA in cells are also disclosed."
