ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,685, issued on April 21, was assigned to Johnson Matthey Davy Technologies Ltd. (London).
"Compacting elements for reducing fluidisation in catalyst carrier for tubular reactors and associated methods" was invented by Jay Simon Clarkson (Stockton-on-Tees, Great Britain), Henry Arthur Claxton (London) and Benjamin Geoffrey Mallam (Stockton-on-Tees, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A catalyst carrier for insertion into a reactor tube of a tubular reactor that comprises a container containing particles of catalyst. The container further contains a compacting element for reducing fluidisation of the particles of catalyst."
