US Patent Issued to Jax Athletics on May 12 for "Sport protective guard" (Illinois Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,622,472, issued on May 12, was assigned to Jax Athletics LLC (Tinley Park, Ill.).

"Sport protective guard" was invented by David J. Payton (Orland Park, Ill.) and Daniel R. Oriente (Downers Grove, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A protective guard has a protective layer configured to be worn by a user. The guard has a first configuration configured to be worn on one of an arm of the user and a leg of the user. The guard also has a second configuration configured to be worn on a hand of the user."
