ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,677,939, issued on July 14, was assigned to ITC Inc. (Hudsonville, Mich.).
"Rotating tabletop for RV/marine having tapered gears" was invented by Jon Rathbun (Belmont, Mich.) and Andrew Fuksa (Fruitport, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A rotating tabletop (such as for RV/Marine use) having tapered gears, wherein the table may be rotated to be 1) stowed; or 2) slightly angled for laptop use. The tapered gear system used in the mechanism allowing the tabletop to rotate to the desired position. A tapered gear is used in the mechanism allowing the tabletop to rotate to the desired position."
