US Patent Issued to Ioncor on June 30 for "Controller, system and method" (Finnish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,671,260, issued on June 30, was assigned to Ioncor Ltd (Uusikaupunki, Finland).

"Controller, system and method" was invented by Juuso Kelkka (Salo, Finland) and Arto Kangas (Salo, Finland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a (safety) controller for a battery management system, a system and a method. The controller is arranged to provide control signals, receive an enable signal, receive a reset signal, and in response to the enable signal missing, perform a shutdown for the controller, and, based on the reset signal, cause a switch to be maintained in a closed position for connecting a battery to a load during the shutdown."
