US Patent Issued to International Business Machines on Sept. 8 for "Power-performance based system management" (Chinese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,730,674, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to International Business Machines Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).

"Power-performance based system management" was invented by Yang Liu (Shanghai), Yue Xu (Shanghai), Peng Fei Gou (Shanghai), Meng Li (Changshu, China) and Xing Zhao (Shanghai).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method comprises receiving a workload for a computer system; sweeping at least one parameter of the computer system while executing the workload; monitoring one or more characteristics of the computer system while sweeping the at least one parameter, the one or more characteristics including total power consumption of the computer system...
